Job summary
WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Programs Team with opportunities across Arlington, VA; VA Beach, VA; San Antonio, TX; Dallas, TX; and more. The role involves leading electrical design within an MEP group, coordinating with owners, disciplines, and vendors, and delivering engineering designs for facilities and infrastructure throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, PE license, and
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 10+ years of post-education electrical design experience on capital projects.
- Professional Engineering registration.
- 3+ years in Alternative Delivery projects.
- US citizenship required by client.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70/101/780, and related codes.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with planning inspections and design documents.
- Strong communication and leadership in client-facing contexts.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams within MEP discipline on diverse projects.
- Develop construction plans, specs, and basis of design.
- Deliver projects in design-bid-build, Design-Build, or delivery frameworks.
- Coordinate with government and sub-consultants.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC compliance.
- Travel to project sites and government facilities as required.
