Badger Meter is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive hardware design and lead PCB development for next‑gen smart water solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years developing electronic products with emphasis on hardware and PCB design.
• Understand full product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Strong analog/digital circuit design, layout, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical hardware design and development of new products; serve as technical lead for PCB and circuit design.
• Architect and validate analog/digital electronic systems for embedded products and sensing tech.
• Drive product development from concept through production with quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop design verification, validation, and compliance testing (UL/CSA/CE/EMC/FM).
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate systems.
• Define production test methodologies and support fixtures and test procedures.
• Lead problem solving and root-cause analysis for complex issues.
• Provide sustaining engineering support and product improvements.
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessments, and design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
