Job summary

AECOM Roanoke is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on diverse buildings projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with architects and other disciplines. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, compliant designs for DoD and federal facilities, with occasional travel and hybrid work options.

The position requires 8+ years of experience, strong proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and a U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of professional electrical engineering design experience.
Strong experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD for building design.
U.S. Citizenship required due to DoD projects.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design efforts for building projects of varying size and complexity.
Develop and oversee designs for medium- and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, and related systems.
Prepare and review electrical calculations, including load, voltage drop, and arc flash analyses.
Coordinate with architecture, structural, mechanical, and technology disciplines.
Mentor junior engineers and perform QA/QC reviews.
Engage with clients in meetings and design reviews.
