Job summary

EAPC seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Minnesota. The role involves designing, detailing, and calculating electrical systems for new buildings and renovations, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and guiding BIM workflows to produce accurate drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license required or eligible.
• 8+ years of consulting/firm experience preferred.
• Strong project management and business development understanding.
• Experience with 3D modeling, visualization, and modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design, detailing, and calculations for all phases of the design of new buildings and renovations.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.
• Edit and write electrical specifications.
• Perform electrical investigations and feasibility studies including reports and cost estimates.
• Provide mentorship to EIT-level staff.
• Direct BIM Modelers to complete electrical drawings.
• Conduct construction administration activities including review of shop drawings and RFIs, site visits.
• Perform site visits to verify existing conditions.
• Assist project managers with design budgets and schedules.
• Assist in development of proposals and client contracts.
• Develop engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
