Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our component engineering group supporting DoW programs. You will analyze, test, and characterize electrical components, mentor junior engineers, and lead parts reviews to ensure survivability against standards.

Required are a BS in engineering with 10+ years' relevant experience, MIL-STD knowledge, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IEEE parts design and MIL-STD standards.
• Ability to analyze differences between military standards and part data.
• Proven written and verbal communication with customers and teams.
• Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to Non-Standard Part Approval Requests for electrical components.
• Lead program parts reviews to assess non-standard parts survivability.
• Mentor junior engineers on component qualification data.
• Collaborate with environmental/radiation test teams for characterization.
• Review test data and reports before customer delivery.
