Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to design, implement, verify, and integrate high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs for graphics, signal processing, and information assurance products. Onsite role in Fort Wayne, Indiana with eligibility for DoD security clearance.

The role requires 5+ years (or 3+ with advanced degree) in RTL/FPGA, strong systemVerilog, and experience with industry tools; candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• At least 3+ years experience in RTL coding and simulation in Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience in digital circuit architecture, timing analysis, and timing closure.
• Experience in SystemVerilog-based testbenches and verification.
• Proficient with ASIC/FPGA tools (ModelSim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
• Familiar with Git or Subversion version control.

Responsibilities

• Identify requirements, architecture and design for ASIC/FPGA using RTL and timing closure.
• Lead design teams, plan activities, and report status.
• Participate in Agile meetings and planning.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
• Support verification and integration of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs.
