Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Data Centers to shape AI-focused data center environments. You will collaborate with in-house teams to meet design standards from scope to commissioning, with a hybrid or remote work option and meaningful ownership potential.

The role requires 12+ years in electrical facilities design, a PE license, and expertise in DC distribution. Expect competitive compensation, annual bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
• PE license with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• At least 12 years of experience in electrical engineering facilities design, with data center exposure.
• Experience with 400VDC, 800VDC, or 1500VDC distribution systems.
• Knowledge of NEC and IEC standards.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and backup power systems.
• Experience working with Revit.
• Leadership and communication skills.
• Proven track record in client relationship management.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Act as Electrical SME on data center projects, crafting innovative design solutions and preparing studies and technical specifications.
• Provide advisory services and represent the firm in meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead planning, development, and coordination of medium to large engineering projects, ensuring high technical quality.
• Develop and mentor junior staff.
• Travel required.
