Job summary

Meade is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design electrical systems for data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile projects. The role is highly collaborative with staff, clients, vendors and external disciplines, with possible travel to job sites for observations and meetings.

With 4+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, you will contribute to power systems design and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in electrical engineering design for construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license preferred, not required.
• Load planning and programming experience a plus.
• Python coding experience a plus.
• Power systems design for data centers or large commercial projects.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
• Standby and emergency power systems knowledge.
• Experience with SKM for protective device coordination and arc flash studies preferred.
• Medium Voltage equipment selection experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and perform design calculations.
• Collaborate with EORs reviewing, signing, and sealing projects.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, prepare record drawings, site visits, inspections and commissioning.
• Write and edit electrical equipment specifications and select equipment and devices.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
