Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering across regional and global Data Center Design and Construction teams. You will serve as the senior technical reviewer for complex electrical systems, ensuring quality, mitigating risks, and elevating global standards through mentorship and technical leadership.

The role focuses on high-impact technical challenges, major data center programs, and cross-functional collaboration to drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data center, mission-critical, or major technical programs experience.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, studies, protective relay coordination, codes/standards, and commissioning requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical strategy, design criteria, assurance plans, and review gates for major data center builds and upgrades.
• Review consultant designs, calculations, specifications, and submittals; maintain global standard designs and Basis of Design documents.
• Analyze utility interconnections, HV/MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS, battery storage, grounding, and power quality.
• Drive equipment strategies with Supply Chain and lead root-cause analyses to improve global standards.
• Collaborate across Design Management, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Solutions Engineering while mentoring engineers.
