Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering across regional and global Data Center Design and Construction teams. You will serve as the senior technical reviewer for high-risk electrical systems, ensuring quality and scalable standards.

You will operate with broad autonomy, mentor engineers, and drive technical leadership to elevate global discipline capabilities across data centers and mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data center/mission-critical experience.
• Deep knowledge of critical power systems, power-system studies, protective relay coordination, codes/standards, interconnections, and commissioning.
• Ability to balance power architecture, resilience, costs, efficiency, utility constraints, and schedule risks.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to influence consultants, manufacturers, and leadership.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred; willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical strategy, design criteria, assurance plans, and review gates for major data center builds and upgrades.
• Govern technical reviews; develop and maintain global standard designs and Basis of Design documents.
• Analyze power and utility systems including HV/MV/LV, standby generation, UPS, storage, grounding, and power quality.
• Drive equipment strategies; lead root-cause investigations to improve global standards.
• Mentor and collaborate across Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Solutions Engineering.
