Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead data center and mission critical projects on a multi-disciplinary team in California.

The role focuses on electrical design, power, lighting, studies, and coordination, with opportunities for professional growth, a hybrid work schedule, paid overtime, and a competitive base salary, plus annual discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
• Knowledge of IBC, NEC, and US design standards.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Experience with multi-discipline design teams.
• Experience with electrical studies (SKM, ETAP, Easy Power).
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical designs and coordinate with owners, clients, and design partners.
• Develop design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, calculations, and studies.
• Coordinate site plans, one-line diagrams, lighting and power plans, and equipment schedules.
• Perform site visits to collect data and verify conditions.
• Supervise and coordinate work of other professionals.
• Support project planning and scheduling.
