Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead projects in data center, mission critical, and energy markets. You will design electrical systems, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide project planning and scheduling.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical system design experience.
• Knowledge of IBC, NEC, and US design standards.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Experience modeling electrical systems and short-circuit, protective-device coordination, and arc-flash studies using SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar software.
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical designs.
• Develop electrical engineering design deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations, studies, reports).
• Prepare and review site plans, one-line diagrams, lighting and power plans, equipment schedules.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and verify conditions.
• Coordinate with owners, clients, and design partners; communicate design updates with Revit and AutoCAD teams.
• Perform interior and exterior lighting design and ensure IES compliance.
• Participate in client meetings and support through design and construction phases including responding to AHJ comments and RFIs.
• Review deliverables and perform QA/QC throughout design and construction.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers.
