Job summary

Exelon is seeking a senior-level engineer to lead and support high-priority data center interconnection projects, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and renewable energy initiatives. The role involves managing complex, fast-paced engineering efforts critical to grid reliability and capacity expansion, with opportunities across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).

Required: BS in Engineering or PE, 7+ years of experience, and knowledge of transmission/substation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical systems.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience (or 6+ with a Masters or PE).
• Preferred: Experience with transmission and substation projects, including air-insulated and gas-insulated substations.
• Preferred: Direct involvement in fast-track data center interconnection projects.
• Preferred: Direct involvement in EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
• Leads and performs engineering tasks and projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Evaluates, develops, implements and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Participates in department planning, budget recommendations, and monitors performance.
• Performs assignments with independence and may lead multi-discipline teams, including oversight of contractors.
• Serves as an expert in a specialized area and may provide expert opinions.
• Provides training and mentorship to others.
