Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a data center construction project. You will act as the primary on-site technical contact for medium- and low-voltage systems, ensuring alignment with design intent and safety codes.

Responsibilities include daily field walks for quality and safety, handling RFIs and submittals, and coordinating testing, commissioning, and BIM resolutions. Collaboration with superintendents and PMs will be essential to ensure robust power distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical design, construction or commissioning, or 5+ years on hyperscale data centers.
• Strong knowledge of medium/low-voltage distribution, protective relaying, grounding and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site technical contact for electrical systems.
• Monitor work quality, safety, and plan compliance through daily field walks.
• Review and resolve RFIs, submittals, and material substitutions.
• Support BIM conflict resolutions across trades.
• Coordinate site inspections, energization planning, and FAT/SAT testing.
• Collaborate with superintendents and project managers on power distribution for data centers.
