Job summary

IES Electrical is seeking a Senior Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site electrical construction for mission-critical data center projects. You will supervise field crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings, schedules, and safety standards.

You will develop short-interval plans, manage look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and drive commissioning readiness. Candidates should have 8–12 years in electrical construction, data center experience, and NEC/NFPA

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Technical or construction-related degree preferred.
• Valid Electrical License on Journeyman or Master level preferred.
• 8–12 years electrical construction experience with 1–3 years in superintendent/lead role.
• Experience on data center/mission-critical projects preferred.
• Knowledge of critical power systems and redundancy (N, N+1, 2N).
• Ability to read complex electrical drawings, specifications, BIM coordination.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site electrical construction activities from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to meet milestones.
• Develop short-interval plans and look-ahead schedules; forecast manpower.
• Enforce safety policies and promote proactive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes; interpret drawings and specs.
• Monitor productivity and maintain schedule and budget targets; implement corrective actions.
• Lead meetings with subs and coordinate with project management and engineering.
• Support QA/QC, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
