Job summary

HDR Engineering is actively seeking an Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join a top TMT practice. The role focuses on electrical design for data centers and mission-critical facilities, coordinating with clients, PMs, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will lead design from concept through construction documents, mentor junior engineers, and travel as needed. Local and national locations are available across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior staff.
• Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
• Assume a substantial role in electrical design for data center/mission critical projects.
• Work with clients to understand project requirements around reliability and life-cycle costs.
• Design support during construction including field observations and RFI support.
• Travel to job sites or HDR offices as needed.
