Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Construction) to design and support electrical power systems for healthcare, data centers, and industrial facilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, code-compliant operation on complex projects.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in electrical design, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, and a strong foundation in NEC/NFPA energy codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer. (Construction or Industrial)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, or data centers
• Knowledge of power distribution, backup power, and critical infrastructure systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and electrical analysis software
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, FGI, and energy codes

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems for commercial, industrial, data centers, and hospitals
• Size and specify transformers, switchgear, panelboards, UPS systems, generators, ATSs, feeders, and protective devices
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit and arc flash studies, and energy code compliance reviews
• Develop electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD and Revit
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, FGI, and other applicable standards
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, architects, contractors, and project teams throughout project execution
• Design lighting systems and perform photometric analyses using AGi32
