DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a Senior/Staff electrical and firmware engineer to own connected devices from concept through field deployment and production handoff. You will design boards, write firmware, and bring devices like tablets, POS systems, peripherals, and robotics applications to scale.

We expect deep experience in embedded C/C++, system architecture, and board bring‑up, with prior success shipping hardware from prototype to production. A senior, build‑heavy role on a small team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on product‑development experience spanning electrical hardware and embedded firmware.
• Have designed a board and written its production firmware on the same product.
• Hands‑on depth in compute‑based board design, embedded C/C++, board bring‑up, and hardware debugging.
• Able to independently develop a system architecture from incomplete requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Translate user and business needs into an integrated electrical and firmware architecture.
• Design compute‑based, mixed‑signal boards with processors, power, sensors, wireless, and peripherals.
• Develop embedded firmware using bare metal, FreeRTOS, embedded Linux, or Android as needed.
• Lead board bring‑up, validation, and troubleshooting with lab tools.
• Prototype with new sensors and run experiments to verify signals are reliable.
• Own the full lifecycle of hardware from concept to production handoff.
• Collaborate across teams to balance speed, reliability, cost, and user experience.
• Contribute across programs including merchant hardware and robotics efforts.
