Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Huntsville is seeking a Senior/Staff Principal Electrical Engineer to design and integrate command and control systems, including radios, networks, antennas, and power components for DoD projects.

You will work with production, program management, and suppliers in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Primary duties include cable harness design, power analysis, and creating interconnect diagrams for COTS and GFE equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 8 years experience for level 4 or 12 years for level 5 in electrical design engineering.
• Experience with production, fabrication and test.
• Experience in networked subsystem design, power design and distribution, interconnect diagrams, wire harness design.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities are cable harnesses design, power analysis, and interconnect diagrams for COTS and GFE equipment.
• Engage in research, development, design and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems and networks.
• Travel to customer sites within the continental United States as needed.
