Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical planning, design, and construction document production for diverse facility projects in Milwaukee. You will perform energy and lighting analyses, develop cost estimates, and collaborate with clients and project teams from concept through construction.

Responsibilities include applying codes and standards, coordinating with disciplines, and presenting design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum five years of experience in facility design.
Experience in power distribution, lighting design, communication systems, lighting photometric calculations, and existing building assessments/reports.
Prior experience leading the electrical design of commercial building projects from concept to completion.
Professional license is preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and SKM, Easy Power, ElumTools.

Responsibilities

Apply building codes, regulations and requirements to projects and manage construction document sequencing.
Lead multiple projects from design through submittals and construction.
Collaborate across teams, communicate with clients and partners, and drive actions cross-functionally.
Conduct energy and lighting analyses and prepare estimates for projects.
Work in office and field settings with occasional travel.
