Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects is seeking a Plumbing Engineer in Milwaukee to design plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse building types. You will develop construction documents, perform calculations, and coordinate with project teams to deliver code-compliant solutions.

You will collaborate with project managers and designers, mentor junior staff, and contribute to sustainable design initiatives while meeting schedules and client expectations.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• 4+ years experience in plumbing design.
• 4+ years experience in Fire Protection performance/bid document development.
• Experience leading design and execution of plumbing and fire protection systems in commercial markets.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams/OneNote).

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for new construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
• Develop fire protection performance/bid documents and specifications for new construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, including plumbing system sizing and related analyses.
• Participate in sustainable design initiatives and perform analyses related to plumbing system performance.
• Conduct existing system assessments and evaluations to support project planning and design.
• Assist with construction administration activities, including responding to contractor questions and reviewing project documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of client relationships through responsive communication and professional service.
