Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electromechanical chassis systems development, including steering and driveline products, in Plymouth, MI. You will guide embedded controls, system architecture, and cross-functional teams through concept to production, with strong focus on safety and process discipline.

This role requires deep expertise in automotive embedded systems, test and integration, and hands-on problem solving across validation, calibration, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of experience developing automotive electromechanical systems.
• Proven track record leading large product development programs from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering programs by defining objectives, managing risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Act as technical authority for software, hardware, and system integration.
• Lead technical reviews of requirements, specs, interfaces and validation plans.
