Job summary

DSC Dredge is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to lead the electrical and automation engineering scope for complex, custom dredge projects from design through commissioning.

This senior role owns industrial power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, electrical schematics, equipment specification, and overall project execution, while coordinating PLC, HMI, VFD, and industrial networking integration and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in industrial electrical engineering with project leadership.
• Experience reading and developing electrical schematics; NEC knowledge.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking; commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical and automation engineering scope for complex, custom-build projects.
• Direct the design of industrial power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation systems.
• Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical; review others' work.
• Oversee design and troubleshooting of VFD and motor control systems; coordinate PLC/HMI/network integration.
• Chair customer design reviews and review vendor documentation; ensure designs meet standards.
