Job summary

DSC Dredge is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to lead the electrical and automation scope for complex dredge projects from design through commissioning. You will own industrial power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and schematics, coordinating PLC, HMI, and networking with the Automation Engineering team.

Based in Reserve, LA, this full-time role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, with travel to field sites for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
• Reading and developing electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with NEC and applicable industrial standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~10% for field support.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical and automation engineering scope for complex dredge projects.
• Design industrial power distribution and instrumentation systems.
• Develop schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Coordinate PLC, HMI, and industrial networking integration with the Automation Engineering team.
• Guide coordination of engineering activities with other departments and vendors.
• Lead field testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
