Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer 3 for Automated Test Equipment (ATE). You will design, test, and sustain EGSE and test support equipment used to launch vehicles, collaborating with a broad engineering team to deliver reliable hardware solutions.

The role requires experience with ATE, telemetry systems, and HiL labs, along with the ability to mentor teammates and drive designs through reviews and production support.

Qualifications

• Design, test, and/or integration of EGSE or test equipment for launch vehicles.
• Experience with automated test equipment and related hardware.
• Knowledge of telemetry systems and HiL lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system electrical engineers to design, test, and analyze complex EGSE/E-TSE hardware.
• Prepare design reviews and present electrical engineering materials.
• Apply principles to adapt heritage features to new designs and support teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality customer service in deliverables.
• Support manufacturing during production of test equipment products.
