Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer 3 to join our Automated Test Equipment (ATE) team. You will design, test, and sustain electrical ground support equipment for vehicle integration and launch, collaborating with diverse engineers across the lifecycle.

The role requires substantial EGSE/ATE experience, system-level thinking, and leadership to guide projects and mentor peers. A Secret clearance is required or obtainable, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years with a Bachelor’s in Engineering or 3 years with a Master’s in Engineering.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret Clearance at time of application.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Design, Test, or Integration experience with EGSE or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, test, and integration of electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) for launch vehicles.
• Prepare and present materials for Requirements and Design Reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet program objectives and schedules.
• Evaluate risks and uncertainties with supervision in design decisions.
• Mentor and cross-train team members across tech architectures.
• Maintain safety as the top priority in all activities.
