Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking an experienced hardware engineer for onsite design, analysis, and integration of digital electronic modules and CCAs at our Fort Wayne facility.

You will work on circuit card design projects involving processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces, while capturing requirements and verifying designs to meet military standards and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience using Mentor Graphics DxDesigner or Siemens EDA tools.
• Designing electronic products for high reliability and long life.
• STEM degree and 3–5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and CCAs.
• Circuit card design including processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Requirement capture and verification for small to medium circuit cards.
• Prepare and present project technical information to peers and customers.
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Schematic capture and printer wiring board layout experience.
• Coordinate tasks between cross-functional teams to align with project goals.
