Job summary

Kaney, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design advanced electromechanical actuation systems for aerospace.

You will develop robust electronic hardware, including analog and digital circuits, mixed-signal PCBs, and embedded control electronics, ensuring compliance with stringent performance and environmental requirements. You will collaborate across mechanical, software, and systems teams to enable safe integration of electrical systems into actuation products.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical design experience for aerospace or high-reliability systems.
  • Strong proficiency with PCB design tools; Altium Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, analysis, and verification of electrical architectures for electromechanical actuation systems.
  • Develop analog and digital schematics for control electronics and sensor interfaces.
  • Own PCB design and layout from concept through release, including DFM/DFT considerations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software teams for electrical-mechanical integration.
  • Perform circuit analysis (signal integrity, noise, grounding, filtering, timing, thermal).
  • Support DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754 and other aerospace standards.
  • Execute design reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessments for electronics hardware.
  • Develop verification/test plans including bench, environmental, and HIL testing.
  • Document schematics, PCB fabrication files, test reports, and certification artifacts.
