Job summary

Kearfott Corporation, a leading aerospace and defense supplier, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of electromechanical actuators. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams and strong focus on NPI, prototypes, and production transition.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerospace motion control, a relevant engineering degree, and experience with SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

5+ years of aerospace motion control engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in General Engineering, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering required.
Experience with cross-functional project teams on customer funded or IR&D projects.
3-D CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
Systems design, development and integration experience preferred.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electromechanical actuators for aerospace and defense markets.
Review customer requirements and assess level of effort.
Lead proposal efforts, prototype development and other NPI activities culminating in production transition.
Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings with designers.
Perform and coordinate design analysis using ANSYS, Matlab, and other CAE tools.
Travel as required to support market development and customer needs.
Serve as technical lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet milestones.
