Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to design, develop and integrate advanced electromechanical actuation systems for aerospace applications. You will ensure safety, reliability and performance while mentoring teams and guiding cross-functional collaboration.

You will define system requirements, perform trade studies, manage verification strategies and engage with suppliers for certification activities in a highly integrated environment.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in systems engineering, including architecture, requirements management, and integration.
• Experience with electromechanical actuators, power electronics, and aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture development for electromechanical actuation systems.
• Define, allocate, and manage system-level requirements across subsystems.
• Conduct system-level trade studies on motor sizing, electrical loads, and EMC.
