Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the United States. You will design, develop, and maintain electrical designs focused on 3-phase UPS systems and power converters, working within an agile team on end-to-end product development.

You will review designs, build prototypes, specify components, and generate main circuit diagrams and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have good and thorough experience in product development, and preferably also in Agile methodology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical designs with focus on 3 phase UPS and power converters.
• Review and ensure the quality of electrical hardware design.
• Prototype and test electrical hardware; liaise with stakeholders to optimize for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Specify and qualify new or alternative electrical components (breakers, fuses, contactors, switches, etc).
• Draw electrical main circuit diagrams and power cable/harness; write design specifications.
