- Define technical requirements and interfaces for sensors, electronic modules, and related hardware.
- Evaluate component performance, electrical interfaces, signal quality, power and grounding, communications, diagnostics, and potential failure modes.
- Collaborate with embedded software, controls, systems, and validation engineers during product development and integration.
- Work directly with suppliers on technical requirements, design reviews, testing, issue resolution, and production readiness.
- Develop and execute component and system verification and validation activities.
- Support electrical, environmental, durability, and electromagnetic compatibility testing.
- Analyze engineering data and lead structured troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation including requirements, risk assessments, validation plans, technical specifications, test reports, and design changes.
- Support prototype development, system integration, production readiness, and technical issue resolution.
- Identify technical risks and coordinate solutions across engineering, quality, manufacturing, validation, and supplier teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical hardware, embedded systems, electronic controls, component engineering, or related product development.
- Experience taking electrical or electronic hardware through multiple phases of the development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, sensors, power and grounding, signal integrity, communication interfaces, diagnostics, and failure analysis.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical specifications, component documentation, and engineering test data.
- Experience with engineering requirements, design reviews, verification and validation, and structured problem solving.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers.
