Job summary

HRB is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic products from initial proposals through production release. This hands-on role focuses on circuit board design, system integration, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring products into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of EE experience including circuit board design.
• Ability to interpret schematics and wiring drawings.
• Experience with lab equipment to troubleshoot assemblies and analyze failures.
• Strong written communication documenting technical findings.
• System integration across engineering disciplines.
• Experience with PCB layout, EMI/EMC testing; Altium Designer; automotive/wireless charging a plus.

This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who enjoys circuit board design, system‑level problem solving, testing, and working with teams to bring products into production.

What you’ll do

• Design electrical subsystems and support electronic product development from concept through production.
• Create schematics, support PCB layout, and prepare specifications, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
• Review customer requirements and participate in design reviews.
• Develop validation plans, analyze test results, and document whether designs meet performance requirements.
• Investigate failures and product issues, determine root causes, and communicate findings in clear written reports.
• Support preproduction builds, production transfers, engineering changes, and customer technical issues.
• Work with engineering teams to address system integration and EMI/EMC considerations.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with substantial relevant experience, or a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience, including circuit board design.
• Ability to create and interpret schematics and wiring drawings.
• Experience using laboratory equipment to troubleshoot electronic assemblies and perform failure analysis.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document technical findings.
• System integration experience and the ability to work across engineering disciplines.
• Experience with PCB layout, EMI/EMC testing, Altium Designer, automotive electronics, or wireless charging is a plus.
