This role is a senior-level Electrical Engineering leadership position responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and commissioning of industrial power, controls, and automation systems for heavy industrial and process facilities. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert in low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution, grounding, protection systems, MCCs, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation. Responsibilities include developing electrical design criteria, one-line diagrams, power and control schematics, equipment specifications, control panel designs, and supporting projects from proposal development through commissioning. The position requires strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and industrial safety standards, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM Power Tools.
In addition to technical leadership, this role is responsible for managing and developing the Electrical Department, including workforce planning, goal setting, mentoring, performance evaluations, and maintaining engineering standards and knowledge resources. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams while ensuring high-quality, accurate deliverables. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states. Travel to client sites and project locations throughout the U.S., and occasionally internationally, is required to support project execution and system commissioning.
