• Strong knowledge of 480V systems, motor controls, VFDs, MV switchgear, and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, execution plans, risk assessments, and supporting information.
• Ensure facilities comply with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements and company standards.
• Oversee third-party engineers and manage design deliverables against budgets and schedules.
• Review drawings, reports, material lists, and vendor quotes; support procurement with Supply Chain.
• Provide technical support during construction and mentor junior engineers.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship from Enbridge now or in the future.**What You Will Do:*** Develop electrical project scopes, schedules, capital cost estimates, execution plans, risk assessments, and supporting information during project development.* Ensure electrical facilities comply with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements, applicable industry codes, and Company standards.* Oversee third-party engineering firms and manage electrical design deliverables against approved project budgets and schedules.* Review and approve drawings, technical reports, material lists, vendor quotations, and technical bid evaluations while supporting material procurement with Supply Chain.* Provide technical support during construction, incorporate lessons learned into future designs, and guide junior engineers and other team members.* Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Construction, Shared Services, and external engineering partners to communicate progress, resolve complex issues, and support departmental initiatives.**Who You Are:*** Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline from an accredited university or college.* 6+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering system design and commissioning activities.* Preference is for aProfessional Engineer (PE) designation.* Knowledgeable: You have strong technical expertise in 480V systems, motor controls, variable frequency drives, medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution systems, and applicable power-industry standards.* Resourceful is being able to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and resolve complex issues using sound technical and business judgment.* Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, build effective stakeholder relationships, and demonstrate the ability to innovate and manage change.**Working Conditions:*** Office environment.* Stress levels can be above normal because project work is deadline-oriented, highly visible, and involves numerous concurrent activities.* Moderate travel (20%). Ability to travel the United States.
