M/E Engineering is currently interviewing for a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Rochester, NY office. We are a full-service MEP engineering firm providing design and technology services to our clients. Responsibilities

• Possesses a professional attitude showing interest in M/E's reputation and growth.
• A fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of their assignment.
• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, adoption, and modifications of standard techniques and procedures.
• Works with the Principal, Associate, or Project Manager to finalize project scope and schedule of deliverables, understanding priorities.
• Applies advanced practices and techniques, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies, and follows projects through all phases.
• Supervises, coordinates, and reviews work, schedules, and assigns tasks to meet deadlines.
• Develops reports, studies, and system analyses.
• Works efficiently and makes good decisions.
• Evaluates application of substitute equipment.
• Reviews final adjustments of equipment and systems after installation.
• Communicates directly with clients on non-controversial matters.
• Represents the firm at meetings and covers all trades, requiring follow-through.
• Assisted by other engineers and designers on projects.
• Estimates workforce needs, schedules, and assigns work, updating the project manager accordingly.
• Mentors and trains junior engineers and designers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Preferably holds a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or is an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. licensing.
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree.
• At least eight years of experience in project design in the respective discipline, with additional training or seminars related to Engineering and Management.

Compensation Range

• The salary range for this position is $87,360 to $120,000 per year.
