Job summary

ICF seeks a Lead Electrical Energy Engineer to support decarbonization and electrification programs in California. This remote role will oversee electrical engineering for demand-side management, including on-site renewables and EVSE, with travel in Southern California.

You will coordinate proposals, staffing, QA/QC, and project delivery, while collaborating with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to scope, model, and report energy savings and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
• Current professional electrical engineering license in California.
• At least 8 years of electrical engineering experience in California.
• At least 5 years as lead designer of building power systems, including QA/QC.
• At least 2 years developing energy-efficiency or related projects.
• Valid driver's license and MVR check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, contracts, and statements of work to identify electrical engineering requirements.
• Oversee staffing for electrical engineering oversight and subcontractors.
• Perform technical analysis of existing and proposed conditions and design changes.
• Develop conceptual designs and provide QA/QC oversight of analyses.
• Write reports documenting power-system conditions, designs, and costs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define electrical engineering needs and SOWs.
• Develop distributed energy resource projects for public-sector facilities in Southern California.
• Travel up to 30% locally for site visits and meetings.
