Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in distribution design to lead the design and delivery of overhead, underground, and URD projects across diverse environments. You will mentor a team of engineers and CAD technicians while ensuring safety, reliability, and adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8+ years of distribution design experience, and strong proficiency with AutoCAD, DDS, GIS, and related tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
8+ years of experience in electrical distribution design (OH/UG)
Professional Engineer (PE) License required

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of OH, UG, and URD distribution projects.
Develop construction work packages using AutoCAD, DDS, GIS, SAP, and MicroStation.
Perform engineering calculations: pole loading, guying, voltage drop, flicker, conductor sizing, cable pulling.
Conduct field assessments and site visits to verify conditions.
Oversee and mentor engineers, designers, and CAD technicians.
Collaborate with project managers to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.
Ensure compliance with NESC, NEC, RUS, DOT, and client standards.
Coordinate with ROW specialists, utilities, and permitting authorities.
Perform QA/QC reviews of design packages prepared by peers.
Support construction with engineering guidance, redlines, and post-construction validation.
Lead root cause analysis for outages and reliability improvements.
Communicate effectively with clients and field teams to resolve issues.
