Job summary

The Haskell Company seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in distribution design to lead a growing utility engineering team in Oklahoma City.

You will guide OH/UG/URD design packages, mentor engineers, and ensure code compliance across projects, shaping modern electrical infrastructure and grid reliability.

This hands-on leadership role requires PE licensure, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, DDS, GIS, and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical distribution design (OH/UG).
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of OH, UG, and URD distribution projects.
• Develop construction work packages using AutoCAD, DDS, GIS, SAP, MicroStation and related tools.
• Perform pole loading, voltage drop, fault analysis, conductor sizing, and protective device coordination.
• Conduct field assessments and site visits to verify existing conditions.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and CAD technicians to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, NEC, RUS, DOT, and client standards.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews of design packages.
• Support construction with engineering guidance and post-construction validation.
• Lead root cause analysis for outages and reliability improvements.
• Communicate with clients and field teams to resolve issues.
