Job summary

The Haskell Company seeks a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our utility engineering team in Frisco, TX. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering robust OH/UG/URD distribution designs and guiding a team of engineers and designers.

You will mentor staff, ensure compliance with NESC/NEC/RUS and client standards, manage scope and schedule, and collaborate with project managers to deliver safe, reliable power infrastructure for diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical distribution design experience (OH/UG).
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of OH, UG, and URD distribution projects.
• Develop construction work packages using AutoCAD, DDS, GIS, SAP, MicroStation.
• Perform engineering calculations such as pole loading, voltage drop, and protective device coordination.
• Mentor engineers and CAD staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, NEC, RUS, DOT and client standards.
• Coordinate with permitting authorities and ROW for approvals.
• QA/QC reviews of design packages.
• Support construction with engineering guidance and post-construction validation.
