Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Engineering Designer III to advance electrical distribution design projects, including overhead and underground circuits, lighting, and development for commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

The role blends office design work with field data collection, site meetings with clients and crews, and emphasizes safety, quality, and timely documentation. PE preferred; FE counts; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Four years of relevant experience with at least two in distribution design.
• FE exam counts as six months of experience; PE can replace two years.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD-based distribution design drawings and BOMs for complex projects.
• Perform field data collection using standard tools and procedures.
• Lead client site meetings with minimal oversight.
• Support safety and hazard mitigation in the office and field.
• Assist with storm response as needed.
