Job summary

KCI in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Distribution Engineering Designer II to develop designs for electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground circuits. This role involves field data collection and assisting with storm restoration. Candidates should possess an ABET-accredited Engineering degree and relevant experience. Qualifications

• Four-year Engineering degree and two years of relevant experience.
• FE is desired.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Produce electric distribution design drawings and BOM for moderate complexity projects.
• Perform field data collection and conduct project-specific inspections accurately.
• Understand hazards of the distribution system and how to mitigate them.

Pole Analysis software

WMS experience (e.g., Maximo)

Understanding of Electrical Components

Circuit knowledge of electrical components

Advanced distribution techniques (switchgear, capacitor bank)

Conduit systems

Education
