KCI Technologies, Inc. seeks a Distribution Engineer Designer I to join our Kentucky/Ohio/Indiana project teams.

This entry-level role supports design of electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground circuits for mixed development projects, with mentorship. You will perform field data collection, assist with BOMs, and learn engineering calculations under supervision, while advancing toward independent design work and storm response projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Engineering degree.
• FE/EIT preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Producing electric distribution design drawings and BOMs for simple projects.
• Performing field data collection and project inspections.
• Learning and applying technical analyses: voltage drop, transformer loading, pole loading calculations.
• Familiarity with client construction standards and charging guidelines.
• Generating permitting and project-support documentation as needed.
• Participating in safety meetings and maintaining awareness of hazards.
