Job summary

Tetra Tech in Arvada, CO is seeking an Electrical Design Lead to support projects under supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers. You will contribute to construction drawings, mentor junior designers, and grow technical knowledge through hands-on practice.

Responsibilities include leading a team on issued-for-construction deliverables (one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, lighting plans, J-box design, BOM, cable sizing) and reviewing electrical bids.

Qualifications

8+ years of electrical design experience.
Oil and Gas experience.
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD 2022 or newer.
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD 3D.
Proficient with Word and Excel.
Experience with Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with Navisworks Freedom.
Experience with Microsoft Teams.
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
Must be in-office for first 6 months.

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Lead for projects with multiple subordinate designers.
Generate issued-for-construction deliverables such as One-Line Diagrams, Schematics, Electrical Area Classification Plans, Wiring Diagrams, Lighting Plans & Details.
J-box Design, BOM & Wiring Diagram; Cable sizing.
Instrument Location Plans; Cable tray modeling and BOM.
Perform technical reviews of electrical equipment bids and maintain schedules.
Mentor less experienced designers and build cross-discipline relationships.
Travel to client offices and production facilities.
