Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks a Mid to Senior Electrical Engineer - Controls to support pipeline, compressor station, and terminal projects from Englewood, Casper, and Billings offices. You will lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and apply NFPA 70, ISA data sheets, and instrumentation procurement knowledge to deliver safe, reliable electrical and control systems for Oil & Gas facilities.

Qualifications

• Position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5–10 years of Electrical or Controls Engineering experience, with Oil & Gas experience preferred.
• P.E. preferred
• Proficient with P&IDs, IO lists, circuit schedules, communications, PLC panels, and loop diagrams; NFPA 70 knowledge.
• Must have construction support, site commissioning, and start-up experience.
• Exposure to PLC programming is a plus.
• Experience specifying ISA data sheets and procuring instrumentation and control devices.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and communicate clearly with peers, contractors, and clients.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; self-starter; capable of solo or group projects.
• Proficient with MS Office; valid driver’s license; pre-employment drug screen; experience with AutoCAD/Revit is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and controls design support for pipelines, compressor stations, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate instrumentation procurement, ISA data sheets, and control devices; ensure NFPA 70 compliance.
