The Shaw Group in Tyler, TX is seeking an Electrical Designer to lead complete electrical engineering design of module packages, ensuring compliance with codes and client specifications within the project timeline. You will carry out 3D modeling and layout tasks for HV/MV/LV substations, PDC buildings, generators, and energy storage systems.
You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and construction teams to deliver safe, constructible, and cost-effective electrical systems for
Competenze
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, EPC/EPF projects.
- Experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Execution phases.
Mansioni
- Develop electrical design deliverables such as SLDs, load lists, load calculations, cable sizing and routing, lighting and small power layouts, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Prepare electrical layouts and installation drawings for general-purpose and hazardous area installations.
- Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for electrical equipment (MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, VFDs, lighting fixtures).
- Support electrical equipment selection and installation design per project specs and standards.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NEC, UL, IS, API; coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil disciplines.
