Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking Senior Electrical Designers to develop electrical and instrumentation design deliverables across Reactor, Nuclear Fuel, Power Conversion, and Power Distribution scopes. You will own drawing packages end-to-end, from development through checking, issue, and as-built incorporation, and provide mentoring to junior designers.

You will work in a hands-on environment with a safety-first culture, supporting plant reliability and nuclear safety, and coordinating with engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical or I&C design experience in power generation or industrial facilities.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA 70 in design deliverables.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical design deliverables: single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel schedules.
• Design power distribution layouts: switchgear, MCCs, panelboards, transformers, lighting circuits.
• Produce control panel/enclosure drawings, including wiring, terminal and marshalling.
• Develop grounding, bonding, and lightning protection layouts.
• Prepare hazardous area classification drawings per NEC/IEC requirements.
• Coordinate drawing content with piping, structural, mechanical, and HVAC teams.
