Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer/Engineer to join the Federal and Government MEP Team. You will design, review, and mentor staff on complex government building projects in offices including Raleigh, Orlando, or Milwaukee.

You will apply NEC/UFC codes, lead project meetings, and develop cost-effective electrical systems. A BS in Engineering and Revit MEP proficiency are required; a PE license is preferred and travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of Federal and Government building design experience.
• Engineering degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC, UFC Guidelines and other codes.
• Revit MEP proficiency.
• PE License preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel to site for reviews and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor design staff in technical and non-technical skills.
• QC own work and that of others (drawings, RFIs, submittals).
• Collaborate with project manager on deliverables and budgets.
• Develop electrical work plans to meet schedule and budget.
• Lead meetings with contractors during bid phase and review pricing.
• Prepare studies and reports for electrical systems and present findings.
