Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer/Engineer to join our Federal and Government MEP team in Orlando, FL (also Milwaukee or Raleigh). You will lead design efforts, mentor staff, and ensure code compliance across electrical systems for complex projects.

Role requires strong Revit MEP skills, knowledge of NEC/UFC codes, and the ability to travel to sites. PE is preferred but not required; we foster an employee-owned culture and project-driven collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience on Federal and Government buildings.
• Engineering degree: BS Architectural Engineering or BS Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in NEC, UFC Guidelines and related codes.
• Revit MEP proficiency.
• PE License preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor design staff in technical and non-technical skills.
• QC own work and others' drawings, RFIs, submittals and reviews.
• Collaborate with project manager to meet project budget and deliverables.
• Represent EXP in project meetings and site visits; document results.
• Lead contractor meetings during bid phase and review pricing.
• Apply NEC, UFC Guidelines and applicable building codes.
