Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Federal and Government MEP Team in Orlando, FL. You will design and oversee electrical systems for complex projects, mentor designers, and coordinate across disciplines to meet schedule and budget.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of relevant experience, strong NEC/UFC knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT MEP; PE license preferred. This is an employee-owned firm with a collaborative culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Architectural or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in Federal/Government building design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and UFC Guidelines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT MEP; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare one-line diagrams.
• Maintain discipline engineering documents for the project.
• Respond to RFIs and review submittals.
• Solve installation problems at the site; travel as needed.
• Prepare REVIT floor plans showing electrical layouts.
• Perform fault current studies, coordination studies, and arc flash analysis.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP/FP/arch/struct).
• Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements.
• Manage and deliver revisions (ASIs, etc.).
• Meet with contractors during bid phase to review design details.
